Q Acoustics new 3000i loudspeaker series delivers true hi-fi and immersive, powerful home cinema sound for the home at an affordable price. Building on the success of the original 3000 series, the new range features innovative audio and design technology taken from the company’s high-end flagship Concept 500 loudspeaker to significantly improve on an award-winning audio performance.
Whether looking for an effective stereo upgrade to a hi-fi system, compact bookshelf speakers for tight spaces, floorstanders for larger rooms or a 5.1 set-up to take TV, movies and gaming to the next level, the new range caters for all budgets and living spaces. The series consists of the 3050i large floorstander, the powerful 3030i standmount, the mid-sized 3020i bookshelf speakers, and the compact 3010i with a matching 3090Ci centre-channel speaker and the slimline 3060Si active sub-woofer completing a 5.1 surround sound home cinema speaker set-up.

The original 3000 series delivered an open, realistic and powerful soundstage typical of more expensive speakers, winning multiple awards and five star reviews. Through significant upgrades, both sonically and aesthetically, Q Acoustics has managed to further enhance this lifelike and dynamic sound.
To deliver a larger-scale sound, the 3010i and 3020i bookshelf models have been designed slightly taller and 25% deeper than its predecessors. This increase in physical volume allows the low-end frequencies to be extended for more powerful bass sounds that still belie these speakers’ diminutive size.
A new addition to the range is the 3030i standmount speaker, engineered to provide more powerful bass performance in a conveniently compact size. While retaining the elegant, compact appearance of a standmount speaker, it derives its woofer design from the much larger and more powerful 3050i floor standing model.
This 165mm (6.5”) woofer, featuring a new motor with copper clad aluminium windings, has been optimised for use in a smaller standmount-style cabinet, allowing the 3030i to go right down to 46Hz at low-end. The tweeter and mounting arrangement, meanwhile, are taken directly from the 3050i to deliver a class-leading high-frequency performance.
The 3000i series also boasts a fresh elegant design, arriving in four stylish premium finishes – Graphite Grey, English Walnut, Carbon Black or Arctic White – and enhanced with an attractive chrome finish around each driver to fit seamlessly into any interior style.
Q Acoustics’ engineers recognise that a meticulously designed enclosure can reduce the structural vibrations that can adversely affect the sonic performance. Taking P2P™ (Point to Point) bracing first employed in the £4,000 Concept 500 loudspeakers, the new 3000i range now features internal support in areas of the cabinet that need stiffening, including an extra precision-cut top damping panel. The result is a more focused, accurate and low distortion fidelity.
The 3050i also benefits from innovative audio technology first designed for the company’s flagship floorstander. Tall loudspeaker enclosures are vulnerable to increased internal pressure caused by standing waves. These generate unwanted resonances that colour the sound. Q Acoustics’ engineers have employed specially designed HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser) Tubes inside the 3050i’s cabinet to eliminate these performance-effecting vibrations and maintain a transparent soundstage.
